Kieron May
Principal Director and Chartered Financial Planner
Kieron is the principal of the firm having started his career in financial services straight from college where he trained as a Chartered Secretary. After six years in London he returned to Portrush in 1991. He has been an IFA since 1992 and has a wide degree of experience of investment and retirement benefit matters. Nowadays he concentrates on retirement planning within the practice. Kieron has been Chartered since 1994 and is a Fellow of both the Chartered Insurance Institute and the Personal Finance Society. He is married to Claire and they have a teenage son Tom. The family live in Portrush and enjoy long walks with Buster the family Schnauzer.
Alan Montgomery
Director and Senior Financial Consultant
After regional roles in retail management Alan changed career to financial services in 1996. Originally starting as a financial adviser for Prudential, and obtaining his qualifications, he went on to work directly for some of the largest financial service providers in technical and business development roles gaining additional qualifications, specialising in investments, estate and succession planning and tax mitigation, before returning to advising as an independent adviser with KCM Wealth Management in 2016 where he has been able to put his expert knowledge to use with our clients. As part of Alan’s role he frequently works with clients’ accountants and solicitors to put in place measures that best match our clients individual needs and tax circumstances. Alan has a teenage daughter and lives in Belfast where he is involved with his local running club.
Claire May
Regulatory Officer
Claire is married to Kieron and, in addition to being the other shareholder, in the family business plays an active role in developing the ongoing strategy and business plan of the practice. In her day to day role she and Judi prepare and maintain the monthly management information systems as well as the twice yearly regulatory returns for GABRIEL to FCA. Claire also oversees all annual accountancy and Companies House information. Claire also works part time at the Ulster University where she has been employed since 1993. Claire shares Kieron's enjoyment of spending time with their son Tom and Buster the family Schnauzer.
Jackie McCaffrey
Office Manager
After being a ‘stay at home mum’ and as her children became established at school, in 1999 Jackie entered the Financial Services Industry. Her first role was in providing administrative support for an Independent Financial Adviser in Portstewart. In 2015, when Kieron took over the IFA practise, Jackie transferred to KCM Wealth Management where her primary areas of responsibility include office management with an emphasis on customer service. Her experience and knowledge covering over 20 years of the client base are invaluable in this regard. Away from work Jackie enjoys cooking, walking and visiting her grandchildren in Scotland.
Judi Mercer
Administrator
Judi started her career in financial services straight from school in Bristol in 1977. Through different roles within the industry she has gathered a wealth of administration experience including providing support to IFA's and being the supervisor for an OEIC, with assets of traded endowment policies, listed on the Irish Stock Exchange. Providing excellent service is very important to her. Judi is married and after over 30 years of living in Bath with her Belfast born Husband relocated to Portrush in 2016. Judi is looking forward to playing golf on the North Coast.
